B2217 – 23: Hazard Switch - signal stuck low Overview: ISO Code B2217 - 23 Customer Symptom 1. Hazard Function Does Not Operate. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) 1. Hazard Function Does Not Operate Lamp Status (If Any) NA Fault Detection Condition This fault will be logged after the input switch test routine execution. User has to operate the switch manually during routine. If signal stuck low fault is detected for Hazard switch, then this DTC code will be returned with the Routine results. Normal Operating Condition There should not be any fault returned by routine. Probable Trouble Area 1. BCM connector Fault. 2. Hazard switch is damaged or stuck or faulty or pressed too long (till switch stuck time Par_SwStuckTime"). 3. Hazard switch wire short. 4. BCM ECU fault Healing Condition 1. Ignition OFF  ON 2. Clear DTC Command Component Details: BCM connectors, Hazard switch harness Hazard switch. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check Battery Voltage (12.5 V & above) 2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
