B220A – 12: Front Fog Lamp Control Switch – Short to Battery Overview: ISO Code B220A - 12 Customer Symptom 1. Front fog lamps always OFF. 2. Facia Switch illumination for fog lamp always OFF Fault Effects (On Vehicle) 1. Front fog lamps always OFF. 2. Facia Switch illumination for fog lamp always OFF Lamp Status (If Any) Always OFF Fault Detection Condition This fault will be logged after the input switch test routine execution. User has to operate the switch manually during routine. If short to battery fault is detected for front fog lamp switch then this DTC code will be returned with the Routine results. Normal Operating Condition There should not be any fault returned by routine Probable Trouble Area 1. BCM connector Fault 2. [Cockpit] Front fog lamp switch input wire Short to battery 3. Switch damaged or stuck 4. Facia Switch connector fault. 5. BCM ECU fault Healing Condition 1. Ignition OFF  ON 2. Clear DTC Command Component Details: Front fog lamp switch is part of facia switch bank. If the IGN is ON and headlamps / position lamps are ON and user presses the front fog lamp switch, front fog lamps will turn ON. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check Battery Voltage (12.5 V & above) 2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage. Trouble Shooting:-
