B222E - 11: Main Beam Switch - Circuit Short to Ground Overview: ISO Code (DTC Code) B222E - 11 Customer Symptom Main beam always ON Fault Effects (On Vehicle) 1. Main beam always ON 2. Battery Drain Lamp Status (If Any) Continuous ON Fault Detection Condition This fault will be logged after the input switch test routine execution. User has to operate the switch manually during routine. If short to ground fault is detected for main beam switch then this DTC code will be returned with the Routine results. Normal Operating Condition There should not be any fault returned by routine Probable Trouble Area 1. BCM connector Fault 2. Main beam switch input short to ground from cockpit wiring harness 3. Main beam switch damaged or stuck 4. Combi switch connector fault. 5. BCM ECU fault Healing Condition 1. Ignition OFF  ON 2. Clear DTC Command Component Details: Main beam switch is part of combination stalk switch and interfaced to the BCM. If the IGN is on and headlamps are ON and if user put the combi switch to main beam position, high beams will turn ON. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check Battery Voltage (12.5 V and above) 2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage. Trouble Shooting:-
