B2229 – 1D: Left Turn Indicator – Circuit Current out of range Overview: ISO Code B2229 – 1D Customer Symptom Either Front Left Or Rear Left Turn Indicator bulb is OFF. Other Lamp and TellTale flashes with Double frequency. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Either Front Left Or Rear Left Turn Indicator bulb is OFF. Lamp Status (If Any) Either Front Left Or Rear Left Turn Indicator bulb Always OFF Fault Detection Condition BCM log this fault when Either Front Left Or Rear Left Turn Indicator bulb is Open Circuit. Normal Operating Condition Turn Indicator lamp comes ON when turn indicator switch is activated. Probable Trouble Area 1. BCM connector Fault 2. Left Turn Indicator Lamp bulb blown /lamp damaged 3. BCM ECU fault. Healing Condition 1. Ignition OFF  ON 2. Clear DTC Command Component Details: Left Turn Indicator lamps are located at left front, left rear and left side of the vehicle. Turn Indicator lamp comes ON when turn indicator switch is activated. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check Battery Voltage (12.5 V & above) 2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
