B2227 – 15: Left stop Lamp Circuit – Short to Battery or Open Circuit Overview: ISO Code B2227 – 15 Customer Symptom Left Stop Lamps always ON. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) 1. Left Stop Lamp and CHMSL always ON. 2. Battery Drain Lamp Status (If Any) Always ON Fault Detection Condition This fault gets logged by BCM when left Stop lamp output is shorted to battery or open circuit Normal Operating Condition Stop Lamp / Brake Lamp come ON when brake is pressed. Probable Trouble Area 1. BCM connector Fault 2. Left Stop lamp output wire Short to battery or open circuit 3. Left Stop Lamp bulb blown /lamp damaged 4. BCM ECU fault 5. Left Stop lamp mating connector fault Healing Condition 1. Ignition OFF  ON 2. Clear DTC Command Component Details: Left Stop lamps are located at left rear side of vehicle Stop Lamp / Brake Lamp come ON when brake is pressed. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check Battery Voltage (12.5 V & above) 2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage. Trouble Shooting:-
