B2227 – 11: Left Stop Lamp Circuit – Short to Ground Overview: ISO Code B2227 - 11 Customer Symptom 1. Left stop Lamps always OFF. 2. Brake lamp malfunction message on Instrument Cluster. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Left Stop Lamps and CHMSL always OFF. Lamp Status (If Any) Always OFF Fault Detection Condition BCM log this fault when left Stop lamp output is short to ground. Normal Operating Condition Brake comes ON when brake is pressed. Probable Trouble Area 1. BCM connector Fault 2. Left Stop lamp output wire Short to ground 3. Lamp damaged 4. BCM ECU fault 5. Left Stop lamp mating connector fault Healing Condition 1. Ignition OFF  ON 2. Clear DTC Command Component Details: Left Stop lamps are located at left rear side of vehicle. Brake comes ON when brake is pressed. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check Battery Voltage (12.5 V & above) 2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage. Trouble Shooting:-
