B2248 – 15: Right Rear Fog Lamp Circuit – Short to Battery or Open Circuit Overview: ISO Code B2248 – 15 Customer Symptom 1. Right rear Fog Lamps always ON. 2. Facia Switch illumination for rear fog lamp always ON Fault Effects (On Vehicle) 1. Right rear Fog Lamps always ON. 2. Facia Switch illumination for rear fog lamp always ON 3. Battery drain Lamp Status (If Any) Always ON Fault Detection Condition This fault gets logged by BCM when right rear fog lamp output is shorted to battery or open circuit Normal Operating Condition If the IGN is ON and headlamps / position lamps are ON and front fog lamp is On, then rear fog lamps shall turn ON immediately after pressing the front fog lamp switch. Probable Trouble Area 1. BCM connector Fault 2. Right front fog lamp output wire Short to battery or open circuit 3. Right Front Fog Lamp bulb blown /lamp damaged 4. BCM ECU fault 5. Right front fog lamp mating connector fault Healing Condition 1. Ignition OFF  ON 2. Clear DTC Command Component Details: Right rear fog lamps are located at right front side of vehicle. If the IGN is ON and headlamps / position lamps are ON and front fog lamp and user presses the front fog lamp switch then front fog lamps will turn ON. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check Battery Voltage (12.5 V & above) 2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage.
