B2248 – 11: Right Rear Fog Lamp Circuit – Short to Ground Overview: ISO Code B2248 - 11 Customer Symptom 1. Right rear Fog Lamps always OFF. 2. Facia Switch illumination for rear fog lamp always OFF Fault Effects (On Vehicle) 1. Right rear Fog Lamps always OFF. 2. Facia Switch illumination for left fog lamp always OFF Lamp Status (If Any) Always OFF Fault Detection Condition BCM log this fault when right rear fog lamp output is short to ground. Normal Operating Condition If the IGN is ON and headlamps / position lamps are ON and front fog lamp is On, then rear fog lamps shall turn ON immediately after pressing the front fog lamp switch. Probable Trouble Area 1. BCM connector Fault 2. Right rear fog lamp output wire Short to ground 3. Lamp damaged 4. BCM ECU fault 5. Right rear fog lamp mating connector fault Healing Condition 1. Ignition OFF  ON 2. Clear DTC Command Component Details: Right rear fog lamps are located at right rear side of vehicle. If the IGN is ON and headlamps / position lamps are ON and front fog lamp and user presses the front fog lamp switch then front fog lamps will turn ON. Preliminary Checks: 1. Check Battery Voltage (12.5 V & above) 2. Check ECU pins for oxidation, bending & damage
