P301A-62: Crank signal request mismatch from the driver and TCU-signal compare failure Overview: ISO Code P301A -62 Customer Symptom Vehicle will not crank Starter will not get engaged Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Vehicle will not crank Starter will not get engaged (Crank will be disabled) Lamp Status (If Any) NO Fault Detection Condition If Crank signal received from TCU and Crank signal received from Hardware are not equal this fault is set. Normal Operating Condition Vehicle will crank normally without any distortion/delay. Normal crank operation Probable Trouble Area 1. Check proper connectivity from TCU to EMS ECU Pin 107 2. Check proper connectivity from Ignition Switch to EMS ECU Crank input pin 134 Healing Condition After 1 Drive cycles and ignition ON Fault permanent deletion 1. Scan tool Service 14 2. Stack Over Flow. 3. 40 warm up cycles. 4. ECU flashing 5. ECU power fail Component Details: NA Preliminary Checks: Trouble Shooting: - DTC’s Healing Confirmation: - After rectification, ensure the following points by referring engine parameters using TML diagnostic tool before handing over to customer. Circuit Schematic Diagram: Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. Check proper connectivity from TCU to EMS ECU Pin 107 Go to Step 2 Establish continuity by rectifying harness connections as per the circuit schematic 2 Check proper connectivity from Ignition Switch to EMS ECU Crank input pin 134 Rectify/Replace Connectors Go to Step 3 3 Check for both TCU and EMS ECU Pin bend and pin back out issue Rectify/Replace Connectors Go to Step 4 4 Make the correction for above checks & Clear the DTCs. If the problem still persists? Faulty connectors Follow the steps again for reconfirmation
