U0420-29: Invalid Data Received From Power Steering Control Module-Signal invalid Overview: ISO Code U0420-29 Customer Symptom 1.ESS Autostop/Autostart function will get affect. 2. Error present in Steering angle Sensor. 3. Autostart Based on Steering Angle input will not work. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) 1.ESS Autostop/Autostart function will get affect. 2. Error present in Steering angle Sensor. 3. Autostart Based on Steering Angle input will not work. Lamp Status (If Any) Nil Fault Detection Condition This fault gets logged if Steering angle Sensor signal is not received with healthy condition Normal Operating Condition Auto Start stop lamp indication will turn ON and OFF properly Probable Trouble Area Error Present in Steering angle sensor Healing Condition After 3 Drive cycles Fault permanent deletion 1. Scan tool Service 14 2. Stack Over Flow. 3. 40 warm up cycles. 4. ECU flashing 5. ECU power fail Component Details: Preliminary Checks: 1) Error present in Steering angle Sensor. Trouble Shooting:- Replace the steering Angle Sensor. DTC’s Healing Confirmation: - After rectification, ensure the following points by referring engine parameters using TML diagnostic tool before handing over to customer. Steering angle Sensor will work properly Circuit Schematic Diagram: Component Location & Image:- NA Flow Chart: - NA
