Scan tool Service 14 2. Stack Over Flow. 3. 40 warm up cycles. 4. ECU flashing 5. ECU power fail Component Details: The Intelligent battery sensor (IBS) is a mechatronic component with which current, voltage and temperature of a vehicle battery are acquired and used to calculate the battery state. The purpose of the IBS is to provide measured values and carry out preliminary processing for the power management in vehicle electrical systems. The values of voltage, current and temperature of the battery are recorded. The IBS delivers the recorded information to ECU via a LIN data interface. Preliminary Checks: 1) Loose/ Damaged/Open Connections between IBS and EMS ECU. 2) Loose/ Damaged/Open Connections of IBS. 3) Check for back out of pins at ECU connector. 4) Check IBS (Intelligent Battery Sensor) relability. 5) Faulty IBS Sensor. Trouble Shooting: - Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. Loose/ Damaged/Open Connections between IBS and EMS ECU. Go to Step 2 Establish continuity by rectifying harness connections as per the circuit schematic 2. Loose/ Damaged/Open Connections of IBS. Repair the harness as per the schematic Go to step 3 3 Check for back out of pins at ECU connector Rectify/Replace Connectors Go to Step 4 4 Check for damage of pins at ECU connector. Rectify/Replace Connectors Go to Step 5 5 Fault Still Persists? Check reliability of IBS. Replace IBS and then if Fault still persists then Replace EMS ECU Follow the steps again for reconfirmation DTC’s Healing Confirmation: - After rectification, ensure the following points by referring engine parameters using TML diagnostic tool before handing over to customer.
