P1E0B-12: Error for battery charge LED lamp Maximum value-Battery charge Lamp Short to Battery Overview: ISO Code P1E0B-12 Customer Symptom 1. Battery LED lamp not working. 2. IAC (Intelligent Alternator Control) may get affect Fault Effects (On Vehicle) 1. Battery LED lamp not working. 2. IAC (Intelligent Alternator Control) may get affect Lamp Status (If Any) Nil Fault Detection Condition Battery charge LED lamp pin no.129 short circuited to battery Normal Operating Condition Alternator Control functioning properly Probable Trouble Area Battery LED Lamp not working Healing Condition After 1 Drive cycles and ignition ON Fault permanent deletion 1. Scan tool Service 14 2. Stack Over Flow. 3. 40 warm up cycles. 4. ECU flashing 5. ECU power fail Component Details: The Alternator control integrated circuit is a monolithic multifunction communicated regulator specifically designed for closed loop voltage control for Valeo 12V automotive 3 phase alternators with a rotating field winding. The ECU will be able to communicate with the IAC via LIN interface. Preliminary Checks: 1) Check Battery LED connection to IC. 2) Check for back out of pins at both ECU connector & IC connector. 3) Check for damage of pins at both ECU connector and IC connector. 4) Faulty ECU. 5) Faulty IC. Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. Check Battery LED connection to IC. Go to Step 2 Establish continuity by rectifying harness connections as per the circuit schematic 2. Check for back out of pins at both ECU connector & IC connector. Rectify/Replace Connectors Go to step 3 3 Check for damage of pins at both ECU connector and IC connector. Rectify/Replace Connectors Go to Step 4 4 Faulty ECU. ECU Faulty Go to Step 5 5 Fault Still Persists? IC Fautly Follow the steps again for reconfirmation DTC’s Healing Confirmation: - After rectification, ensure the following points by referring engine parameters using TML diagnostic tool before handing over to customer.
