P1E03-1: Engine Start Stop system fault-General electric failure Overview: ISO Code P1E03-1 Customer Symptom 1.ESS Autostop/Autostart function not work. 2.Auto Stop Inhibition because of Stop Start related Sensors fault. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) 1.ESS Autostop/Autostart function not work. 2.Auto Stop Inhibition because of Stop Start related Sensors fault. Lamp Status (If Any) NIL Fault Detection Condition Auto Start Stop Switch is disabled Auto Start Stop LED lamp indication disabled Normal Operating Condition Auto Start Stop function enabled Auto Start Stop LED lamp indication light functional Probable Trouble Area Engine Start stop system Healing Condition After 1 driving cycle and Ignition ON. Fault Permanent Deletion 1. Scan tool Service 14 2. Stack Over Flow. 3. 40 warm up cycles. 4. ECU flashing 5. ECU power fail Component Details: It is a non latch able switch. Its operating temperature is -40 to 85 deg C and operating voltage is 9 to 16V. Its lifecycle is 1,00,000 cycles. Preliminary Checks: 1) Check the ESS Autostop/ Autostart related Sensors Error. 2) Check the respective sensor Connections as below. 3) Check Engine is in limp mode. 4) Check transmission is in limp mode. 5) Check Crash is Active. 6) Check engine coolant temp. 7) Check steering condition 8) Check AC system condition 9) Check Drive mode 10) Clear Fault. Trouble Shooting: - Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. Check the ESS Autostop/ Autostart related Sensors Error Go to Step 2 2. Check the respective senosr Connctions (As below) Go to Step 3 3. Check Engine is in limp mode Go to Step 4 Check the connections 4. Check Crash is Active Go to Step 5 Check the connections 5. Check engine coolant temp Go to Step 6 Check the connections
