ISO Code P3002-71 Customer Symptom Vehicle will not Start Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Vehicle will not Start. Start will be inhibited for 10 sec. Lamp Status (If Any) CE Lamp ON after 1 drive cycles Fault Detection Condition Ignition ON, Crank attempt and then Starter Motor Stalls. Normal Operating Condition Starter Motor Cranks Engine properly Probable Trouble Area Starter Relay / Starter Relay-2 contacts welded, Starter Motor Solenoid contacts Stuck closed, Starter motor electrically / physically damaged, Starter Diodes damaged, EMS ecu starter control Circuit failure due to improper wiring harness connections. Healing Condition After 1 Drive cycles and Ignition ON Fault permanent deletion 1. Clear DTC Command form Scan tool 2. Stack Over Flow. 3. 40 warm up cycles. 4.ECU flashing 5. ECU Power-Fail Component Details: Starter Motor is a brushless DC motor, which is used to Crank the Engine. Starter Motor has an inbuilt Solenoid within, which will be enabled when the Starter motor has to be engaged with the flywheel. Starter Motor operation will be controlled by EMS ecu with the help of Starter Relay and Crank Inhibit relay. Preliminary Checks: 1) Starter Relay / Starter Relay-2 contacts welded / damaged. 2) Starter Solenoid Damaged or stuck closed. 3) Starter Diodes damaged. 4) EMS ecu Faulty
