AIR CONDITIONING 6 Sr.No. PROBLEM / SYMPTOMS POSSIBLE CAUSED REMEDY 5 LOW SIDE - low (< 1.8 kg/ cm2) or Vacuum. HIGH SIDE - HIGH (>28 kg/ cm2 & discharge air slightly cool. Clogging on HIGH side.(Clogging between Compressor Outlet & evaporator inlet) 1. Discharge the system. 2. Change the filter drier cartridge & clogged tube. 3. Evacuate the system 4. Charge refrigerant gas & oil qty. 5. Check performance by ODT/ CDT. 6 1) LOW SIDE - high (> 3.5 kg/ cm2). HIGH SIDE - LOW (< 28 kg/ cm2 2) Discharge air is warm 3) Compressor - Noisy 4) Discharge Hose - Cool Compressor Malfunctioning, internal damage to compressor 1. Discharge the system. 2. Change the Compressor & Filter Drier cartridge 3. Evacuate the system 4. Charge refrigerant gas & oil qty. 5. Check performance by ODT/CDT. Blockage in Suction Hose 1. Discharge the system. 2. Change the Suction pipe. 3. Evacuate the system 4. Charge refrigerant gas & oil qty. 5. Check performance by ODT/ CDT. 7 Line to condenser is excessively hot OR Compressor clutch is not rotating OR Compressor clutch slippage Restricted flow of refrigerant in system between Compressor to Condenser 1. Discharge the system. 2. Change the Filter Drier Cartridge. Remove the restriction. 3. Evacuate the system 4. Charge refrigerant gas & oil qty. 5. Check performance by ODT/ CDT. 8 Compressor clutch engagement is not satisfactory 1. Open Circuit 2. Weak Battery 3. Faulty Clutch relay connection 4. shorted Clutch coil Attend & repair 1. Discharge the system. 2. Change the Compressor 3. Evacuate the system 4. Charge refrigerant gas & oil qty. 5. Check performance by ODT/ CDT.
