ENGINE 1.3L QUADRAJET (90PS) 39 10.Remove the valve guides (1a) using the tool 287158900645 (Extractor) (1b). Valve guide outer 10.010 ~ 10.030 diameter (mm) Valve guide outer diameter 0.05/0.10/0.25 oversize (mm) 12.Fit the new valve guides (1a) using the tool (1b) 287158900654 (Extractor). NOTE • The valve guides should be fitted after the cylinder head has been heated to a temperature of 80° - 100°C. 13. Ream the valve guide inner diameter to the recommended values of 6.020 ~ 6.038. 14.Grind the valve seats to the recommended size given below. Valve seat band angle in 45° +/- 20' contact with valve 15.Grind the valve seats using a suitable tool. 16.Check that the valves do not show signs of grooves or seizing. 17.Check that the diameter of the valve stems corresponds to the recommended figures of 5.9 mm ~ 5.94 mm; if not, replace the worn valves. 18.Check that the length of the valve springs released is within the recommended values of 37.9 mm. 19.Using a torque wrench, check that the valve spring specifications correspond to the recommended figures; if not, replace the worn components.
