ENGINE 1.3 QUADRAJET (75PS) 81 1. Drain fuel tank into an approved container refer procedure as mentioned in fuel tank removal. 2. Ensure that the car is parked on level surface. 3. Add less than 6 liter of fuel and turn the ignition switch ON. 4. The low fuel warning light should come on within 2 sec. a) If light comes on go to step 5. b) If light does not come ON or only comes ON dimly check wiring. If OK, remove combination meter and check bulb. If bulb is OK, replace fuel level sensor. 5. Add fuel so that the total fuel will be more than 8 lit and check that the light goes OFF. a) If light does not go OFF, check for short circuit in the wiring harness. If no short circuit, replace fuel level sensor. b) If light goes OFF , turn the key OFF . Test is complete. E. FUEL LEVEL WARNING LIGHT : FUEL FILTERMAINTENANCE : Q Replace the f i ler element regular ly at recommended intervals. Q Replace the f i ler element regular ly at recommended intervals. Q Use clean Cloth of wiping the component s. DO NOT USE COTTON WASTE. Q Remove water from Bleed valve on top face of filter. Refer Engine manual for procedure. Q Vent air from the system atfer replacement of filter element. Q always use ONLY recommended and genuine fuel filter cartridge. F. FUEL FILTER
