ELECTRICAL 146 1.11 DAY TIME RUNNING LAMPS (DRL). 1.11.1 Description This feature is used to increase the visibility of the vehicle to other drivers during daytime. The daytime running lights are positioned on the front of the vehicle. For safety benefit, daytime running light is compulsory in many countries. 1.11.2 Conditional Requirements Activation – • IGN is ON or Engine is running • Head Lamps & Position Lamps are OFF Deactivation – • IGN is OFF & Engine is not running • Position Lamps are ON or Head lamps are ON Tell-tale Indication – Telltale on IC as long as the DRL is ON On Fault – Telltale is turned off when all lamps are failed and Respective DTC logged. 1.11.3 Operating Voltage Range DESCRIPTION REQUIREMENT VOLTAGE Day Time Running Lamps Normal operating voltage 12V Min & Max operating voltage range 9V-16V 1.11.4 Inputs & Outputs
