ELECTRICAL 95 TELL TALES COLOR INDICATOR REMARKS Malfunction Indication Bulb Amber 1. Illuminates momentarily when ignition is switched ‘ON’ once engine is cranked, it goes OFF. 2. It remains ‘ON’ if there is malfunction in Engine system. Engines performance deteriorates while it is running. Avoid high speeds and Contact TATA MOTORS Authorized Service Centre for rectification. Check Engine Amber 1. Illuminates momentarily when ignition is switched ‘ON’ once engine is cranked, it goes OFF. 2. Illuminates continuously if a fault arise in Engine Management System. Contact TATA MOTORS Authorized Service Centre. Immobilizer Red 1. Illuminates when the system disables engine start if the original key is not used. 2. Bulb blinks: vehicle is in immobilized condition when key is not inserted. 3. Bulb ON: Problem with key/system. Contact TATA MOTORS Authorized Service Centre. Water in fuel Amber 1. Illuminates momentarily when ignition is switched ‘ON’ once engine is cranked, it goes OFF. 2. Illuminates continuously if excess water is accumulated in the fuel filter. Contact TATA MOTORS Authorized Service Centre to drain the water immediately to avoid serious damage to the fuel injection system. Speed Limit bulb This symbol comes ON when vehicle speed is more than 120 kmph. This symbol blinks and audible buzzer sounds simultaneously when Vehicle Speed is more than 120 kmph. At this stage, reduce the vehicle speed. Diesel Particulate Filter bulb This symbol lights up when the ‘IGN’ is turned ‘ON’ and should go ‘OFF’ after the engine starts. This symbol comes ON when Diesel Particulate filter in exhaust system is malfunctioning. At this stage, take the car to the nearest Authorized Service outlet. DRL Bulb This symbol lights up when the ‘IGN’ is turned ‘ON’ and should go ‘OFF’ after 4 seconds. This symbol comes ON when the Day Time Running bulb is ‘ON’. CNG Bulb This symbol lights up when the ‘IGN’ is turned ‘ON’ and should go ‘OFF’ after 4 seconds. This symbol comes ON when CNG fuel mode is activated. AMT fault indicator When ignition is turned ‘ON’, this symbol comes ‘ON’ for four seconds and goes ‘OFF’. This symbol will continue to remain 'ON' or will come 'ON' after Ignition On precheck if there is a problem in the AMT system.
