KRYOTEC ENGINE 76 13.Lock the fuel pump gear using standard bolts to avoid timing resetting. 14.Loosen tension on the belt tensioner. 15.Remove the timing belt. FITMENT For fitment follow removal procedure in reverse. NOTE Belt has three distinct marking, two on the groove between teeth and one on belt teeth. These marking have to be aligned with timing gears to ensure proper timing. Two markings on the groove must align with camshaft and fuel pump gears, one marking on teeth must align with crankshaft timing gear. Begin fitment from crankshaft timing gear when installing the timing belt. TIMING BELT TENSIONER ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE 1. Position the index of the tensioner at the maximum reference by pressing in upward direction. In this position tighten the tensioner bolt. 2. Rotate the crankshaft two complete revolutions. Loosen the timing tensioner bolt. 3. Use a screwdriver to position the index of the tensioner at the reference hole. In this position tighten the tensioner bolt to the proper Torque Specifications. Recheck the engine timing using the timing tools.
