20 AIR CONDITIONING DUAL PRESSURE SWITCH Pressure switch is installed in the liquid line tube in the cooling unit. Pressure switch detects abnormally high and low pressure of the refrigerant in the system, and turns the magnetic clutch off. Pressure switch will avoid compressor seizure. If the pressure “P” is less than specified pressure, the switch will be turned off. Standard Pressure : 2.0+0.21kg/cm 2 (30 + 2.8 psi) (Low Side) 32 + 2 kg/cm 2 (455 + 28 psi) (High Side) Themagnetic clutch can be turned on when the blower switch and the A/C switch are turned on under the condition that the refrigerant pressure is higher than 2.0 kg/cm 2 (30+2.8 psi). ANTIFREEZING DEVICES Thermostat (if fitted) Thermostat is a temperature sensing device and is instal led to sense the temperature of the air discharged from the evaporator. When the outlet air temp. from evaporator gives below 0.50 0 +0.50 0 C the thermostat switches off the compressor magnetic clutch.
