16 AIR CONDITIONING AIR CONDITIONING CONTROLS This system has full heating, ventilation and Air Conditioning. The system controls can be adjusted to mix these into various combinations. The air flows into the interior through different locations. This is controlled by the switch fitted on RH side of A/c control panel. The air flow control switch has five positions for air flow direction. Air to face vents Air to face vents and for feet Air to feet Air to feet and windscreen recommended for clearing mild mist on windscreen Air to windscreen recommended for clearing heavy fog or snow Rotating the air mix control switch clockwise (towards red segment) the air temperature increases. Rotate air mix control switch anti clockwise (towards blue segment) to reduce the air temperature. The switch on the top centre is for controlling the blower speeds. Blower has four speeds. The blower speed could be selected as per requirements. For operation of aircondition three switches have been provided (See sketch). Switch a - Press (switch lamp "ON") for fresh air mode, Release (switch lamp "OFF") for air recirculation mode. Switch b - For switching 'ON' or 'OFF' front A/c. It is marked by ‘F’ Fig. 13 - Air conditioning controls Fig. 14 - Air conditioning controls rear Switch c - For switching 'ON' or 'OFF' rear A/c. It is marked by ‘R’. (If fitted) By switching on switch F and blower the Front A/c. becomes operative. Note: When the A/C. is switched ON the engine RPM increases and when the thermostat cuts off A/C., engine RPM decreases. Rear A/C (If fitted) The rear A/C. control panel is situated at rear as shown in the sketch. The switch at the top is for rear blower speed selection. The rear A/C. can be switched ON or OFF by a switch on rear control panel provided the front A/C. is already in operation and switch marked R on front control is ‘ON’. c a b
