LUBRICANTS ANDOILS Recommended lubricants conform to the following specifications : ENGINE (483 DLTC ENGINE) SAE 15W40 to APl CF4 + Grade (up to -10 0 c ambient temperature) SAE 10 W 30 to APl CF4 + Grade (For ambient temperature between - 20 0 c & 0 0 c) SAE5 W 20 to APl CF4 + Grade (For ambient temperature below - 10 0 c) ENGINE OIL (486 PL PETROL ENGINE) Recommended grade of engine oil confirming to APl - SF/ CC or SG specification and range of ambient temperature at which these can be used are given in table. Ambient temp. Engine oil grade in deg. c -10 deg. & above SAE20W - 40 or 20W 50 -15 deg. to 40 deg. SAE15W- 40 SAE 15W - 50 -20 deg. to 40 deg. SAE10W- 40orSAE10W-50 -35 deg. to 40 deg. SAE5W - 50 In the initial operation (first 2000 km.) of a new or recondi t ioned engine, also use the above recommended oils. To prevent rust formation and freezing of coolant inside the passages of radiator crankcase and cylinder head use premixed coolant as recommended. It is recommended that the entire cooling system should be drained and filled with fresh premixed coolant. Coolant should be drained and replenished every two years or at every 50,000 km whichever is earlier.
