29 GEAR BOX G-76 13. DISASSEMBLY OF GEAR BOX HOUSING – REARHALF Remove torsion spring from selector shaft guide and take out torsion spring along with tubular spacer. Remove selector lever along with roller from housing. Ref Fig. 59 Fig. 59 Unscrew plug and remove spring - Detent plate 5th gear. Unscrew plug and remove plunger reverse gear detent along with spring. Ref fig. 60 Unscrewmounting screws and take out pressure plate - reverse speed along with pressure plate 5th gear. Loosen and remove Hex screw along with nut, spring washer and bright washer. Remove roller - detent plate, if required. Disconnect pressure plate 5th gear frompressure plate – Reverse speed. Fig. 60 11. Replacement of selector shaft : Remove the retaining bolt of selector shaft guide. Remove the tensioner spring, collar for shaft and selector lever along with roller. (Ref Fig. 61) Remove the selector shaft if damaged. Replace the oil seal of selector shaft with new one. Replace the selector shaft. Fig. 61
